Alexander MacKenzie Rose

The Alexander MacKenzie Rose, 'Rosa 'Alexander MacKenzie', exhibits cupped blooms that open from deep raspberry-red buds held in sprays of six to twelve above newly emerged leaves richly tinted with red. As the disease resistant foliage matures, it forms a dark green backdrop for deep red blooms with the aroma of raspberries. This rose has its own root. The advantage of own root roses is that once established they are very resilient. If winter's freezing breezes kill the top growth, the rose will grow back in the spring, and the recovered rose will look the same as the one you purchased. ... additional information
