Arborvitae - Teddy
This arborvitae lends itself well as an easy care plant that can be used as an accent plant in borders, containers or rock gardens. The foliage is so soft, it almost feels like fur! Gently shear for perfect spheres to look its best, or allow it to mature naturally into an oval shape. It requires full sun to partial shade, and it is best to follow a regular watering schedule during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. It is also deer resistant. The blue-green needles take on a bronze tint in winter. It is a loveable, huggable dwarf globe with soft juvenile foliage. Thornless Honeylocust Readily transplanted, it withstands a wide range of conditions although it reaches maximum development on rich, moist bottomlands or on soils of a limestone origin. The Thornless Honeylocust tree, Gleditsia Triacanthos, is fast growing as a young tree and will grow 2’ or more a year over a 10-year period. This deciduous tree is tolerant of drought conditions, high pH, and is salt tolerant. The fine small textured leaves casts a light shade and usually do not need raking in the fall.
