Ash Leaf Spirea
Spireas are among the easiest flowering shrubs to grow since they are tolerant of many soils, except extremely wet. Ash Leaf Spirea, 'Sorbaria sorbifolia', is a fast growing plant that has large plumes of creamy white flowers in June. It prefers a moist, well-drained, organic soil. It spreads quickly and is an excellent plant for soil retention. Spireas are great for mass plantings or groupings, screens or border shrubs. These grow atop the deep green, fern-like foliage.
