Aster - Woods Pink
The Aster ‘Woods Pink’, Aster x dumosus, has clear pink flowers with gold centers and daisy-like flowers blooming August through September. With its perfectly clean, compact, dark green, disease resistant and rust free foliage, this plant has a height of 12” and a plant spread of 24”. ‘Woods Pink’ has emerged in the past few years with superb flowers and longer bloom times. Aster ‘Woods Pink’ does require full sun, but can take some afternoon shade, in a moderate soil range with good drainage that does not become extremely dry during the summer. Aster ‘Woods Pink’ makes an excellent container plant or front of the garden feature and looks great with ornamental grasses. ‘Woods Pink’ is attractive to bees, butterflies and birds and looks beautiful all season long. ... additional information
Lungwort - Mrs. Moon The Pulmonaria ‘Mrs. Moon’, Pulmonaria saccharata, also known as Lungwort or Bethlehem Sage, is a great ground cover for any shady area, helping to lighten up parts of the garden. The foliage is fuzzy and dark green, speckled with silver and red to pink flowers that often turn into blue in May. ‘Mrs. Moon’ has a plant height of 10-12” and a spread of 18-23”. Moon’ needs to be planted in a full shaded area with well-drained soil. It is a wonderful contrast with hostas, under shrubs and along paths. ‘Mrs. Moon’ is a vigorous grower and resistant to slugs and great for a first time gardener. |
