Water well and spray leaves frequently during hot, dry weather. Ideal for shade! Large #1 bulbs are 1-1/2 to 2-1/2" diameter. Zones 10-11. Pot early indoors with a starting temperature of 70 degrees or more, then plant them, pot and all, outdoors in the shade or semi-shade after spring frosts. Or, plant them in shady window boxes where sun-loving annuals won't grow. Elsewhere prior to frost, dig, dry and store bulbs in a cool, dry frost-free place. Geranium - Southcombe Double For the most part, cranesbill are long-lived and do not require a lot of care. There are only a few double-geraniums in cultivation and don't look like a Geranium at first glance. This plant would look wonderful in a pot on a sun-drenched porch and is also deer resistant. Southcombe Double blooms almost non-stop throughout the summer, into fall. They do best in sun, but will tolerate some degree of shade. Geraniums are grown in almost any soil as long as it is not wet. They are perfect in the perennial border and work well as a ground cover too. The Geranium Southcombe Double, 'Geranium oxonianum', displays fully double, pure pink blooms that sit atop bright green stems.
