Coreopsis - Tequilla Sunrise
The Coreopsis ‘Tequilla Sunrise’ is a very exciting new variety. In the Tickseed family, the gorgeous variegated olive-green foliage, turning to mahogany in the fall, and cream to yellow flowers with a red eye, is a great addition to any garden. Blooming from June to October, it has a plant height of 12” and a spread of 10-12”. ‘Tequilla Sunrise’ should be planted in full sun. It is drought-tolerant and tough but does need well-drained soil. It should be cut backing early and late summer to extend the bloom period. Coreopsis ‘Tequilla Sunrise’ looks great with any type of grass, in borders or mass plantings in sunny gardens. Iris - Champagne Elegance The Iris Champagne Elegance, 'Iris', is part of the reblooming Bearded Iris family and has delicate shaded apricot flowers with 8-10 blooms per stem. With a velvety texture and beautiful evergreen foliage, it has a plant height of 34’ and a width of 18-24”. This Iris blooms heavily in early summer and then reblooms in late summer, ‘Champagne Elegance’ is an attractive backdrop for your garden. It is an easily grown Iris. Iris ‘Champagne Elegance’ prefers moist, well-drained soil in full sun, but will tolerate some afternoon shade. This Iris needs plenty of water throughout the season to continue to looks its best. Iris ‘Champagne Elegance’ is useful in many ways. Best used around pools, ponds and water gardens, and for mass plantings. It can also be used in difficult banks for preventing erosion.
