Dianthus - Baths Pink
These fragrant, spicy dove like flowers look wonderful as a border plant, rock gardens, along walks or paths, for edging and a definite in cottage gardens. Dianthus ‘Bath’s Pink’ has a plant spread of 6-8” and a height of 6”. With its grassy blue-gray foliage and profuse blooming time, ‘Bath’s Pink’ is one not to miss. Dianthus needs a sunny site with well-drained soil, but will tolerate some shade in the afternoon and humidity. ‘Bath’s Pink’ was the 1999 Theodore Kein Plant Award Winner, and one can see why. Dianthus will bloom from mid summer to early fall. The Dianthus ‘Bath’s Pink’, Dianthus gratianopolitanus, is a beautiful soft, light pink flower. Sedum - Matrona It will tolerate most soil types and is drought resistant. The umbrella-like flower heads are maroon to pale pink. Blooming from August to September, it has a plant height of 18” and a spread of 12”. It is also a great butterfly and bee attractor and is disease resistant. Sedum ‘Matrona’ needs to be planted in full sun in well-drained soil. Its sturdy, dark burgundy stems look wonderful with its gray green leaves, edged with a deep rose color. |
