Dianthus - Mountain Mist
Dianthus will bloom from mid summer to early fall. With its grassy blue-gray foliage and profuse blooming time, ‘Mountain Mist’ is one not to miss. The Dianthus ‘Mountain Mist’, Dianthus gratianopolitanus, is a beautiful smoky pink flower that can be somewhat lacey and fringed. In order for a longer bloom time, deadhead the blooms continuously throughout the summer. These fragrant, spicy dove like flowers look wonderful as a border plant, rock gardens, along walks or paths, for edging and a definite in cottage gardens. Dianthus ‘Mountain Mist’ has a plant spread of 6-8” and a height of 6”. Aster - Alma Potschke Aster ‘Alma Potschke’ does require full sun, but can take some afternoon shade, in a moderate soil range with good drainage that does not become extremely dry during the summer. It is also perfect for flowerbeds, shrub beds or colorful containers. It is a major attractor to butterflies and bees. Aster ‘Alma Potschke’ makes an excellent container plant or front of the garden feature and looks great with ornamental grasses. The flowers blooms in early fall to frost. The Aster ‘Alma Potschke’, Aster novae-angliae, displays a beautiful bright neon rose pink daisy-like flower that are about quarter-sized. ‘Alma Potschke’ is very attractive with a plant width of 34-40” and a height of 18-24”. ‘Alma Potschke’ is best planted in masses, borders and natural areas. |
