Dianthus - Roshish One
The Dianthus Roshish One, 'Dianthus', is a Fleming legacy via the University of Nebraska. With its wonderful velvety, dark rose flower with dainty traces of white, it is a definite favorite. Not to mention its grassy blue-gray foliage and profuse blooming time, ‘Roshish One’ is one not to miss. Dianthus ‘Roshish One’ has a plant spread of 8-12” and a height of 10”. Dianthus will bloom from mid summer to early fall. In order for a longer bloom time, deadhead the blooms continuously throughout the summer. Dianthus needs a sunny site with well-drained soil, but will tolerate some shade in the afternoon and humidity. Calla Lily - Amethyst The Calla Amethyst, 'Zantedeschia', has broadly green shaped foliage with dark lavender 2” blooms. ‘Amethyst’ will bloom for 10-11 weeks and should be planted in full sun in a well-drained area. It has a plant height of 10-14” and a plant spread of 12-16”. Being somewhat deer resistant, it is suitable for container growing, as cut flowers and in perennial gardens. ‘Amethyst’ is perfect for one who is looking for a bright splash of color in any shady spot. |
