Dianthus - Rubys Tuesday

Their very compact habit and free blooming nature make the 'Ruby Tuesday' Dianthus a stand out both in container gardens and perennial borders. Dianthus needs a sunny site with well-drained soil, but will tolerate some shade in the afternoon and humidity. The Dianthus 'Rubys Tuesday', Dianthus Hybrid, has flowers that are a deep red carnation with a sweet fragrance. They are especially stunning when paired with white or silver. In order for a longer bloom time, deadhead the blooms continuously throughout the summer. These fragrant, spicy dove like flowers look wonderful as a border plant, rock gardens, along walks or paths, for edging and a definite in cottage gardens. Salvia - Blue Hills ‘Blue Hills’ has a plant height of 15” and a spread of 18-24” and stays in excellent compact form. Salvia ‘Blue Hills’ should be planted in full sun in a moist well-drained area. It is hardy for container gardening and provides excellent cut flowers. Blooms look wonderful next to Sedum ‘Matrona’, Achillea 'Coronation Gold' and Saliva ‘Snow Hill’.
