Eastern Whitebud

The Eastern Whitebud tree, Cercis canadensis alba, is best known for their profuse white pea-like flowers. The heart-shaped leaves of this redbud tree are 3-5" across and its fruit are brown flat pods about 2-3" long. The trunk of this small tree usually branches close to the ground resulting in a spreading flat-topped to rounded crown. Eastern Whitebud trees grow best in full sun to light shade with moist well-drained deep soil. Patmore Ash The Patmore Ash tree, Fraxinus pennsylvanica 'Patmore', better known as the Patmore Ash, is a lovely, fast-growing tree with 5-9 shiny green leaflets which stay on the tree well into the autumn. Patmore ash tree is a cultivar of the green ash, so it is very hardy and it tolerates drought well. This deciduous tree exhibits a tight well-behaved shape. The attractive shiny green leaves change to a yellow fall color. Extremely hardy. It is seedless. Widely used as a shade tree and a central lawn tree.
