The Evening Primrose, Glowing Magenta, 'Oenothera kunthiana', is a new Oenothera unlike any other. The deep pink flowers stand out against its deep green foliage. It has a plant height of 6” and a spread of 5-10”. ‘Glowing Magenta’ is unusually compact for its species and has an extremely long flowering time, (June to September. ) Oenothera requires full sun and needs a good drainage site. Try planting ‘Glowing Magenta’ with Salvia, Achillea or Columbine. For a wonderful sun ground cover, one will not want to leave ‘Glowing Magenta’ out of their garden. ... more
