The Evening Primrose Lemon Sunset, Oenothera longifolia, is a new Oenothera unlike any other. The large, 4” soft yellow flowers matures to a red sunset colr thst is complimented by its rich red stems. It has a plant height of 3’ and a spread of 36-48”. ‘Lemon Sunset’ will flower its first year, June to August. Oenothera requires full sun and needs a good drainage site. Try planting ‘Lemon Sunset’ with Salvia, Achillea or Columbine. For a wonderful sun perennial, one will not want to leave ‘Lemon Sunset’ out of their garden. ... more info

 

Tiarella - Crow Feather Foam Flower The Tiarella Crow Feather, 'Tiarella hybrid', also known as Foamflower, is becoming one of the most popluar shade perennials on the market today. ‘Crow Feather’ has bright green foliage with purple to black centers and is very fragrant. Best of all, the winter colors are more exciting. They are a mix of red, pink, black and purple. White flowers appear in the summer; however, Tiarella’s are not noted for their flowers. ‘Crow Feather’ has a plant height of 10-12” and a plant spread of 12-15”. Tiarella will do best in full shade and need average to moist soil. Try planting this popular perennial with Lamium ‘White Nancy’, Hosta ‘Patriot’ or ‘Japanese Painted Fern’. They can be planted as a ground cover or mingled with other shade loving plants. PPAF.
