Geranium - Maverick Appleblossom

Fertilize lightly every 2 weeks. The Geranium Maverick Appleblossom, 'Pelargonium x hortorum', is a unique variety that offers beautiful soft pink double flowers, complemented by distinct leaf zoning and an upright growth habit. Geraniums are a favorite bedding and container plant and are grown in almost every region of the country. Remove spent flowers to enhance flowering. They are excellent in containers of all types from small pots to large tubs to window boxes and combine well with other plants such as petunias and ivies. The Appleblossom has excellent vigor and great landscape performance. Pinching of the shoots will promote bushiness. These plants have succulent leaves and stems and they are commonly called garden geraniums or zonal geraniums. Geraniums are one of your best choices for use in hanging baskets. Over fertilization results in excessive foliage and few flowers. They make large, full-sized plants and are very showy in ground beds and containers with their large, colorful pink blooms. Salvia - Victoria Blue Victora Blue has intense deep blue flowers. Victoria Blue Salvia is great for center pieces in containers or in mass plantings in rows or as backdrop for other shorter flowers. Victoria is a dwarf form of the species only getting up to 1-2 feet tall. The plant habit is erect but densely branched. The bluish green leaves and the deep blue flower spikes bloom all summer long until first frost in autumn. Deadheading might help insure rebloom into autumn.
