The Grass 'Dwarf Variegated Ribbon grass', Phalaris arundinacea dwarf garters, is an outstanding, upright arching grass. It is similar to 'Strawberries and Cream', except the white-striped foliage loses its pink tint by early summer. It's also better mannered and not as floppy. Showy, soft white flowers rise 6 - 12" above the foliage. Even after the first frost has turned the foliage and flowers a warm beige, their beauty remains throughout the winter.
