Prefers full sun to light shade. The Grass 'Toffee Twist Sedge', Carex flagellifera Toffee Twist, is a mounded grass plant. Toffee Twist Sedges are an attractive coral color in fall/winter. Excellent in containers and window boxes. Water when soil is dry to the touch. It is distinctive as an accent plant or in masses, it grows well in rock gardens and along slopes. Hollyhock - Chater's Red The Chater's Red Hollyhock, 'Alcea rosea', has a large ruffled ball-shaped red flower. Alcea is a wonderful plant near the back of the border, working great along walls or fences. Although they are short lived, they reseed themselves. The large blooms of 'Chater's Mix Hollyhock' flower in the summer months. They are best planted in full sun in a well-drained area.
