Hosta - Elegans

Hosta ‘Elegans’ needs to be planted in a full shade area in any moist, well-drained area. The white flowers bloom from July to August, however, Hosta’s are not known only for their flowers. A great choice for any beginner gardener. With a plant height of 30” and a spread of 48-60”, Hosta’s provide bright color in shade with wonderful foliage. Being blue-green in color, it has a heavy, deeply tucked texture with powdery like cast which make it very striking. The Hosta 'Elegans', Hosta sieboldiana, is an extra large Hosta with heart-shaped leaves. Stokes Aster - Honeysong Purple The Aster Honeysong Purple, 'Stokesia laevis', has leathery, strap-like leaves that form a clump at the base with huge true royal purple daisy-like flowers with a hint of red at the end of the stem. The powdery blue flowers bloom from July until frost have a plant height of 14” and a plant spread of 18-24”. Great for summer color in beds, borders or containers it produces excellent cut flowers.
