Hosta - Halcyon

The classic blue spear shaped foliage makes it very striking. The white to pale lavender flowers bloom from July to August, however, Hosta’s are not known only for their flowers. It is also extremely slug-resistant due to its thick leaves. Hosta ‘Halcyon’ needs to be planted in a full shade area in any moist, well-drained area. ‘Halcyon’ was the 1997 Award of Merit (AGM) winner, one can see why. This low care perennial is ideal for shady positions, tubs and patio pots, and one of the most popular for landscape uses. With a plant height of 24” and a spread of 32-36”, Hosta’s provide bright color in shade with wonderful foliage. Rose Campion - Gardener's World Lychnis is deer resistant and a great perennial for mass plantings or at the back of a border. ‘Gardener’s World’ is a definite improvement from other Lychnis. ‘Gardner’s World’ has a plant height of 24-36” and 10” spread. The flower is larger, sterile and more refined. The Lychnis Gardener's World, 'Lychniscoronaria', a Blooms of Bressingham plant, is an upright perennial with woolly silver foliage. The beautiful blooms last from from June to August. The magenta-red double blooms resemble small carnations. ‘Gardener’s World’ should be planted in full sun to light shade, but does require moisture and free-draining soil.
