Hosta - Liberty
Liberty is one of the best variegated slug resistant hosta's. It is a medium sized hosta that has a dark green leaves with a wide golden yellow margin that changes to cream in the summer and stems producing lavender colored flowers. Hosta’s provide bright color in shade with wonderful foliage and Liberty is no exception. Liberty needs to be planted in a full shade area in any moist, well-drained spot. The lavender flowers of this fast growing hosta bloom in late summer, however, hosta’s are not known for their flowers. The Hosta Liberty, Hosta 'Liberty' (PP12,531), is a sport of the well known variety Sagae and is considered by many to be the finest hosta ever introduced.
