Hyacinth Bean Vine

Plant in the spring after the last average frost date. The Hyacinth Bean Vine Ruby Moon, 'Dolichos lablab', has purple to white flower clusters followed by eye-catching purple bean pods that make Ruby Moon a very unique addition to your garden. They bloom in summer followed by the pods in late summer. Ruby Moon Bean Vines are used for quick screens, hanging baskets, or as a ground cover. The Bean Vine Ruby Moon provides color all summer long whether from the purple, velvety bean pods, purple and white flowers, or the beautiful foliage. Ruby Moons prefer full sun and ordinary garden soil that must be well drained. They are grown just like a pole bean, so support with a wire or trellis must be provided. Corn - Argent - white The Corn Sweet Argent (White), 'Zea mays var rugosa (Hybrid)', is the best tasting white sweet corn there is. Successive plantings in two week intervals will produce a much longer cropping season. Argent is a white sweet corn with superb sweet, creamy flavor and excellent cultivation traits. Corn is usually ready 3 weeks after silks appear. Argent sweet corn adapts well to cool soils and has a high tolerance ot Stewart's Wilt and Northern Corn Leaf Blight. In the deep south, this can be as early as February. It is unsurpassed in eating quality. Harvest the ears when the husks are dark green and the silks are brown but not brittle. Plant in the spring, a week or two after the last spring frost or when the soil is warm. Corn prefers a deep, rich well drained soil.
