The Wild Fox Grape, Vitis labrusca, is a woody vine which can climb over thirty feet tall. Wild Fox Grapes can be used to make juice, jellies, jams, conserves, and preserves. It is also called skunk grape. Wild Fox Grapes bear purplish-black berries and are the source of many cultivated grape varieties. They can be used in pies and pastries too. They have large, three-lobed leaves with teeth on the edges. These fruits develop considerable sweetness after the first frost.
