‘Bressingham Purple’ is attractive to bees and butterflies and easy to maintain. ‘Bressingham Purple’ blooms from June to July with a plant height of 18-28” and a spread of 18”. ‘Bressingham Purple’ needs to be planted in a full shaded area but will tolerate some morning sun in well-drained soil. The Polemonium ‘Bressingham Purple’ has dark purple, fern-like foliage and large, single, light violet-blue flowers. Try planting it with Polemonium ‘Brise d’Anjou Jacob’s Ladder’ or Hosta ‘Patriot’, in mass plantings, in rock gardens or in an elegant landscape. This variety of coral bell thrives on heat and humidity and is one of the most hardy of all the coral bells. Like most Coral Bells, it thrives in partial sunlight but once established it will also grow in shade. Coral Bells are grown more for their foliage color but the small blooms that they contain will attract hummingbirds.
