Bachelor Button - Dwarf Mix Bachelor Button is also known as Cornflower. Plant in the spring, 1 to 2 weeks before the last frost. In addition to the wonderful blend of colors, Bachelor Button Dwarf Mix has other admirable traits including drought tolerance. Bachelor Button will perform the best in relatively dry soils. In warm climates, plant in late summer or early fall for winter bloom. Bachelor Button blooms 10 to 12 weeks after seeding. The Bachelor Button Dwarf Blend, 'Centaurea cyanus', is a blend of purple, light blue, pink, and white flowers that will impress you. Bachelor Button will naturalize as the seeds the plant drops will quite readily come back the next year to produce another crop of beautiful flowers. The flowers can be used as dried or cut flowers. Bachelor Button prefers full sun but they will withstand some light shade. |
