Licorice - Splash

Licorice plants are exceptionally easy to grow, requiring little fertilizer. For zones 9-11, this plant can also be a perennial. It's especially useful in mixed containers as it tends to grow outward which makes a planter or basket look larger. This plant is an excellent choice for hanging baskets or mixed containers. The Licorice, Splash, 'Helichrysum petiolare', has foliage that is an evenly variegated pale green and white. This plant will let you do a little to get a lot. The Splash Licorice is a bushy but compact grower. Licorice do best in a well drained soil, either in beds or containers. Calibrachoa - Superbells ® Trailing Blue Calibrachoa is very similar to a minature Petunia. This vigorous fast growing plant produces hundreds of vividly colored blue flowers that bloom from spring until first frost. Calibrachoa Superbells are easy to grow. Superbells can be grown in patio pots, window boxes and in beds. Superbells are self cleaning, you do not have to pinch off spent flowers. Superbells Calibrachoa is more heat resistant than most of the Calibrachoas. It can take the heat of hot southern summers making it a good replacement for petunias, and they can be perennial in zones 7 and warmer.
