Lily - Cancun (Asiatic Lily)
The Asiatic Lily Cancun, 'Lilum ‘Cancun’, has wonderful tropical flowers that range from magenta red to pink with bright yellow centers that produces 4-5 flowers per stem. The dark green foliage makes a great contrast with its flower color. ‘Cancun’ has a plant height of 38” and is one of the newest Lily’s on the market today. Cutting the pollen off the middle of the flower, not letting it touch the flower, will increase the bloom time on Lily’s. Blooming in mid to late June, ‘Cancun’ should be planted in full sun and in a well drained soil. Hosta - Stained Glass The Hosta Stained Glass, Hosta 'Stained Glass', is a sport of the hosta Guacamole and was Hosta of the year in 2006. It is considered one of the best hosta's to be released in years. It has shiny, deeply veined, golden foliage which almost appears to give the leaves a stained glass effect. Each leaf is surrounded by a dark green margin. The fragrant lavender flowers of this hosta appear in late summer, however hosta’s are not known for their flowers. Hosta’s provide bright color in shade with wonderful foliage and Stained Glass is no exception. Stained Glass is a sun tolerant hosta and should be planted in any moist, well-drained spot.
