Lily - Toad - Mixed Colors
The exotic and orchid-like blooms appear densely speckled in rose-pink, magenta or purple on a lighter background. They prefer a shady spot and moist rich soil. The Toad Lily Mix, 'Tricyrtis', is a delightful mix of these extremely hardy and low-maintenance perennials. Toad Lilies are great for the shade garden where they tower gracefully above other perennials, like ferns and Astilbe and Hosta. They bloom profusely in a moist shade garden, producing dozens of florets on each stem from July through August. ... get more information
Geranium - Southcombe Double This plant would look wonderful in a pot on a sun-drenched porch and is also deer resistant. Geraniums are grown in almost any soil as long as it is not wet. The Geranium Southcombe Double, 'Geranium oxonianum', displays fully double, pure pink blooms that sit atop bright green stems. For the most part, cranesbill are long-lived and do not require a lot of care. There are only a few double-geraniums in cultivation and don't look like a Geranium at first glance. They do best in sun, but will tolerate some degree of shade. They are perfect in the perennial border and work well as a ground cover too. Southcombe Double blooms almost non-stop throughout the summer, into fall. |
