Marigold - Eskimo

Plant in the spring after average last day of frost. The Marigold Eskimo, 'Tagetes erecta', is new and unique. The nice dark green foliage sets off the white flower color. Marigolds prefers rich organic soils. The beautiful blooms are located at knee height on top of the plant. Eskimo Marigolds are excellent for edging, in pots and containers and as a ground cover. Pinch off faded flowers to encourage more blooms. The soil needs to be well drained and not soggy. The Eskimo Marigold begins to bloom in late spring and continues to bloom until first frost. Collards This non-heading member of the cabbage family has huge cabbage-like, blue-green, slightly crumpled, juicy leaves. Georgia Southerns are easy to grow and they make great container plants. Plant in early spring, 3 to 4 weeks before last frost or in late summer, 10 to 12 weeks before first fall frost. The leaves of the collard can be harvested as needed.
