The Mountain Fleece Firetail, 'Persicaria', a Blooms of Bressingham plant, is a wonderful variety in the Persicaria family. With its superb, medium green leaves it has a plant height of 3-4’ and a spread of 3-4’. The flowers are crimson red and bloom in June and July, but this plant is more noted for its foliage. ‘Firetail’ should be planted in a full sun area but can tolerate some afternoon shade. Sun will make the foliage look its best. It does need a well-drained area, making sure it is not over watered. ‘Firetail’ will look great in any perennial garden, in mixed container, woodland edge or near ponds and streams. Hosta - Tokudama The Hosta Tokudama Aureonebulosa, Hosta 'Tokudama Aureonebulosa', is a sport of the hosta Tokudama and is a mainstay for any hosta garden. It has greenish yellow puckered leaves with variable blue-green margins. The heaviley textured leaves have a cupped appearance. The white flowers of this hosta appear in mid summer on 18 inch stems, however hosta’s are not known for their flowers. Hosta’s provide bright color in shade with wonderful foliage and Tokudama Aureonebulosa is no exception.
