Nemesia - Carnival Mix

The Nemesia Carnival Mix, 'Nemesia strumosa Nana Compacta', has very brilliantly colored flowers on a dwarf plant. Cute as a button, this wonderful cool season annual has snapdragon-like flowers. They come in shades of cream, yellow, blue, orange, crimson, pink, and bicolors. The 3/4 inch funnel-shaped flowers with a pouch at the base are borne on 3 to 4 inch spikes. The Carnival Mix blooms in the spring through early summer. The Nemesia prefers full sun or afternoon shade in hot summer climates. They do best in rich garden soil that is high in organic matter. Keep the soil moist but not soggy. In warm climates, plant in spring or fall. In short season climates plant after last average frost date. Carnival Mixes are excellent for cut flowers, containers, hanging baskets, edging, and borders. ... more info

Poppy - California Mix The California Poppy Mixed Colors, 'Eschscholzia californica', produces a stunning mix of white, yellow, orange, deep orange, scarlet-red, and purple poppies. The California Poppy Mixed Colors is a perennial that is usually grown as an annual. In zones 7-11, though, the foliage often overwinters. The silky, saucer shaped 2 to 3 inch flowers have 4 delicate paper-like petals. This Poppy blooms best in the cool weather of spring. The California Poppy needs full sun. On cloudy days or in the shade, the blooms will close. The Mixed Colors Poppy will grow in almost any soil that is well drained. In cold climates, plant as soon as the ground can be worked. In warm climates seed in fall for impressive spring color. The Poppy can be used as a cut flower, wildflower plantings, and for soil erosion control.
