Pansy - Got the Blues
The Pansy works well in locations where late fall and early spring color would be appropriate. Got the Blues prefers full sun but they tolerate some light shade. Plant them in normal garden soils and fertilize lightly. The 3 inch flowers are mixed shades of blue including "lillenstein', Elbaue, Elbtalfruede and Bergzauber. Plant in early spring, 2 to 4 weeks before last frost or in mid summer for fall bloom. In warm climates plant in late summer or early fall. They need to be well watered but not soggy. Pansies bloom best during cool weather, this means spring in cool climates and fall and winter in warm climates. Got the Blues has four varieties of very dramatic light to dark shades of blue and they are quite frost hardy. Bachelor Button - Dwarf Mix Bachelor Button blooms 10 to 12 weeks after seeding. Bachelor Button will perform the best in relatively dry soils. Plant in the spring, 1 to 2 weeks before the last frost. In warm climates, plant in late summer or early fall for winter bloom.
