Penstemon - Pikes Peak Purple

It is best to plant Penstemon in a full sun location, having a moist, well-drained area. ‘Pikes Peak Purple’ has a plant height of 15” and a spread of 12”. The Penstemon ‘Pikes Peak Purple’, Penstemon x mexicale, has constant small, violet-purple flowers that bloom all summer long with narrow, lance-shaped evergreen foliage. Hummingbirds and butterflies love this perennial, not to mention being deer resistant. Hollyhock - Peaches 'n Dreams The Hollyhock family is made up of a rather large group that exhibits tall stature (4-6') and is biennial in nature. Although they are short lived, they reseed themselves. They are best planted in full sun in a well-drained area. Alcea is a wonderful plant near the back of the border, working great along walls or fences. The Peaches ‘n Dreams Hollyhock, 'Alcea rosea', has double, creamy-peach flowers that are frosted with tints of raspberry-pink and apricot. The large blooms of Alcea ‘Peaches ‘n Dreams’ Hollyhock flower in the summer months. It is a wonderful new array of pastels to add to the garden.
