Penstemon - Red Rocks
Hummingbirds and butterflies love this perennial, not to mention being deer resistant. Being drought tolerant, ‘Red Rock’ looks great in a perennial border, in a naturalized setting, in rock gardens or for cuttings. It is best to plant Penstemon in a full sun location, having a moist, well-drained area. Sedum - Matrona The umbrella-like flower heads are maroon to pale pink. Its sturdy, dark burgundy stems look wonderful with its gray green leaves, edged with a deep rose color. ‘Matrona’ is a great choice for beds and borders and excellent as cut flowers. It will tolerate most soil types and is drought resistant. It is also a great butterfly and bee attractor and is disease resistant. Sedum ‘Matrona’ needs to be planted in full sun in well-drained soil. Blooming from August to September, it has a plant height of 18” and a spread of 12”. |
