All of our peonies are widely adaptable to most soils across the country. They bloom in mid to late spring and have very large, colorful blooms that stand out in the spring garden. The Peony Bowl of Beauty, Paeonia lactiflora 'Bowl of Beauty' is a single bloom peony with rose colored blooms and creamy yellowish-white centers. Peonies are one of the best cut flowers and are often used in the Midwest to decorate gravesites on Memorial Day. Peonies can handle dry to moist sites, and do best in full sun but can handle some light shade. Often thought of as a plant used on the farm or out in the country, they bring a little bit of that country feeling to your garden. Evening Primrose - Lemon Sunset For a wonderful sun perennial, one will not want to leave ‘Lemon Sunset’ out of their garden. ‘Lemon Sunset’ will flower its first year, June to August. It has a plant height of 3’ and a spread of 36-48”. The large, 4” soft yellow flowers matures to a red sunset colr thst is complimented by its rich red stems. The Evening Primrose Lemon Sunset, Oenothera longifolia, is a new Oenothera unlike any other. Oenothera requires full sun and needs a good drainage site.
