Pepper - Bell - Purple Beauty

Transplant outside in the spring 3 to 4 weeks after last frost date. Pinch off early flowers to encourage plant growth. Mix the Purple Beauty with red, green, yellow, orange, and chocolate peppers for a pallette of color. This is another exciting pepper to add to your collection of beautiful sweet bell peppers. Peppers use quite a bit of water but prefer to be watered deeply and not too often. It is unlike most peppers which start out green, this one starts out purple and provides color early in the season. Note: To get a jump on the season transplant outside, use a walls-of-water or some black plastic to maintain and increase temperatures. Plant in average garden soil with sufficient organic matter. Pinch off about 50% of the flowers. Blossom pruning will improve fruit size. Grass - Pony Tails It is very drought tolerant, but even moisture produces the most flower heads. Plants do not get anymore graceful than Pony Tails. Pony Tails prefer full sun and well drained infertile soils. Plant in the spring, 3 weeks before the last average frost date. After sowing, flower heads will appear in 16 weeks. Spray the flowers with florist dye to create any color you want. Pony Tails Grass has soft 8 inch plumes atop the plants.
