Ajuga Bronze Beauty Butterflies and hummingbirds are attracted to Ajuga, not to mention being deer resistant and a low allergen. Ajuga ‘Bronze Beauty’ will do best in a shaded area but will adapt to morning sun, the foliage colors will be more vivid with morning sun. The Ajuga ‘Bronze Beauty’, Ajuga reptans, is a useful ground cover with short spikes of blue flowers. The foliage is evergreen in most regions and has an attractive bronzy-brown shade that quickly forms a low carpet of medium-sized rounded leaves. If one is looking for a perennial ground cover to exceed in a hard to grow shady area, Ajuga is the way to go. Do avoid soggy conditions. The flowers appear in late spring on 4” spikes and spreads of 12-18”.
Coral Bells Obsidian Taller shoots of cream colored flowers appear on this evergreen variety in June. Plant the Obsidian with Coral Bells Lime Ricky, Marmalade or Peach Flambe for a fantastic color contrast. Like most Coral Bells, it thrives in partial sunlight but once established it will also grow in shade. The Coral Bells Obsidian, Heuchera 'Obsidian' (PP14,836), with it's Jet Black leaves, has the darkest foilage to date of the Coral Bells. Coral Bells are grown more for their foliage color but the small blooms that they contain will attract hummingbirds.
Coreopsis Autumn Blush Autumn Blush is a long blooming plant that has beautiful yellow flowers with a burgundy colored eye turning to all burgundy in the fall. It should be cut back in late summer to extend the bloom period. It tolerates the heat and humidity extremely well and flowers best in a sunny location. Coreopsis Autumn Blush looks great with any type of grass, in borders or mass plantings in sunny gardens. The Coreopsis Autumn Blush, Coreopsis 'Autumn Blush' (PPAF) is a wonderful new variety to the Coreopsis family.
Daylily Rosy Returns Daylilies are some of the easiest plants to grow and are a good choice for any gardener. The Daylily Rosy Returns, Hemerocallis 'Rosy Returns' (Apps, '99,PP9779), is a dwarf variety that has large 4 inch bright rose flowers with a dark pink eye and yellow throat on green foliage. Rosy Returns will bloom from June until frost and may be hardy all the way to zone 2. It can survive harsh conditions that many other plants can not and prefers full sun for the best performance. Use for stand alone plantings, edging, in borders or in mixed containers and tubs.
Hosta Revolution It has cream colored leaves that are speckled with green and a irregular dark green margin around the leaves. It is considered one of the most distinctive hosta's to be released in years. This low care perennial is ideal for shady positions, tubs and patio pots, and is one of the most popular landscape plants. The lavender flowers of this hosta appear on 20 inch stems, however hosta’s are not known for their flowers. Revolution will tolerate shade to partial sun and should be planted in any moist, well-drained spot.

Geranium Hocus Pocus This beautiful perennial is unique in it has chocolate brown, almost bronze, foliage. It is a superb plant for cottage gardens, container growing, borders or informal borders in mass plantings.
Salvia Plumosa It has a plant height of 18” and a spread of 18-24” and stays in excellent compact form. Salvia ‘Plumosa’ should be planted in full sun in a moist well-drained area. ‘Plumosa’ is a magnet for butterflies, bees and hummingbirds and is deer-resistant.
Salvia Purple Rain It is hardy for container gardening and provides excellent cut flowers. To increase bloom time, it should be cut back after the first bloom.
Iris Butter And Sugar The Iris ‘Butter and Sugar’, Iris siberica, has creamy white butter-yellow flowers with greenish yellow veins. Iris ‘Butter and Sugar’ prefers moist, well-drained soil in full sun, but will tolerate some afternoon shade. It can also be used in difficult banks and preventing erosion.
