Phlox - Blue Paradise
The Phlox Blue Paradise, Phlox paniculata 'Blue Paradise', has fragrant blossoms of lavender blue with white eyes and tiny red centers. Blue Paradise was a new variety in 2004. Blooming from July to August, it has a plant height of 22” and a spread of 18”. It is a definite addition to any perennial garden. Blue Paradise needs to be planted in a full sun area in well-drained soil. Use Blue Paradise in rock gardens, as a border or in a cut flower garden. ... more information
Lily - Blackout (Asiatic Lily) The Asiatic Lily Blackout, 'Lilum ‘Blackout’, has extremely dark red, almost black, flowers that produces 4-5 flowers per stem. The dark green foliage makes a great contrast with its flower color. ‘Blackout’ has a plant height of 36” and is one of the newest Lily’s on the market today. Cutting the pollen off the middle of the flower, not letting it touch the flower, will increase the bloom time on Lily’s. Blooming in mid to late June, ‘Blackout’ should be planted in full sun and in a well drained soil. Proven to be resistant to rots and virus, it should not be left out of the perennial garden. |
