Potentilla - Dakota Goldrush®

This cultivar is similar to the cultivar ‘Jackmanii’, but is more dwarf and flowers more profusely at the end of the season. It is compact and free flowering. The dwarf growth habit and flowers that bloom profusely from early summer to late fall combine to create a beautiful plant for the landscape. Dakota Goldrush® continues to flower until killing frosts occur. The flowers are profuse, yellow-gold and 1 to 1 ˝ inches across. It requires little, if no care once established. Dakota Goldrush® Potentilla, Potentilla fruticosa 'Absaraka', is a hardy selection with deep yellow flowers and dark green foliage. It can be used as a foundation plant, in the perennial border, in mass planting, as a low hedge and even as a specimen. You can plant it with the assurance that it will live. This compact shrub will mature at 2 to 4 feet tall with a spread of 4 feet.
