Late summer planting is recommended in hot summer areas or short spring areas. If you like cauliflower, then try this new, green variety. Cauliflower like rich, moist, well drained soil with lots of organic matter. The taste is quite sweet, and Brocoverde takes the spring heat better than regular cauliflower, thus making spring plantings more successful in northern climates. The Brocoverde are a green headed, semi-domed cauliflower with 1 pound heads. Plant in the early spring, 1 to 2 weeks before the last frost or late summer, 12 weeks before the first frost for fall harvest. Keep soil moist and water deeply at least once a week.
