Satomi Dogwood

The Satomi Dogwood, Cornus kousa 'Satomi', produces deep pink flowers that covers the horizontal spreading branches in April to May. Being very hardy and disease resistant, Satomi Dogwood prefers full sun to light shade with a well-drained, somewhat acidic soil. It is very hardy and flowers later than other dogwoods. Satomi will produce pink-red fruits that appear in autumn. This Japanese selection will make an elegant specimen tree. This kousa blooms not only in a different color, but at a different time; about a month after every other dogwood is through. You will most assuredly note its spectacular not-at-all-white color, which is more like popsicle pink. ... additional info

 

Flame Willow It grows multistemmed, more like a shrub, unless trained otherwise. The Flame willow is very hardy and responds well to pruning. Plant these as specimens or in a line along a border. The Flame Willow, 'Salix Willow', gets it's name from the stems that turn red in late fall and lasts until early spring. They grow fast and can be planted as privacy screens where the fall color will be fabulous!.
