Scabiosa - Blanca
The Scabiosa 'Blanca, Scabiosa Hybrid, is a small flowered form of the Pincushion Flower and it exhibits a a compact habit. It is best to plant Scabiosa in full sun, with well-drained soil and should be watered regularly throughout the warmer months to increase its overall performance. With its gray-green foliage, it has a plant height of 8” and a spread of 12-18", not to mention being disease resistant. Noted for very free flowering, butterfly-friendly, and a good cut flower. Dianthus - Fancy Knickers Dianthus will bloom from mid summer to early fall. Their very compact habit and free blooming nature make the 'Fancy Knickers' Dianthus a stand out both in container gardens and perennial borders. The Dianthus 'Fancy Knickers', Dianthus Hybrid, has elegant white flowers with just a touch of red in the center. These fragrant, spicy dove like flowers look wonderful as a border plant, rock gardens, along walks or paths and for edgeing - a very pretty plant. Dianthus needs a sunny site with well-drained soil, but will tolerate some shade in the afternoon and humidity.
