Scabiosa - Giant Blue

It will do excellent for front-of-the-border areas, with Coreopsis ‘Moonbeam', Dianthus 'Bath's Pink', in mass plantings or as cut flowers. ‘Giant Blue’ is great for attracting butterflies and hummingbirds and does excellent in rock gardens. It has larger lavender-blue flowers that bloom from June to October. Deadheading after the first bloom will encourage repeat bloom time. The Scabiosa 'Giant Blue' is a vigous version of the 'Buttefly Blue'. With its gray-green foliage, it has a plant height of 16” and a spread of 12-18". It is also disease resistant. ‘Giant Blue’ is reminiscent of a pincushion full of pins. Diascia - Little Charmer Diascia 'Little Charmer', has exceptionally large strawberry-pink flowers They'll produce showers of flowers in spring to early summer until the daytime temperatures get really hot. Very compact and a garden star. This Twinspur is very compact and a garden star. Similar to 'Strawberry Sundae' but with rounder flowers, extra lush foliage, and even more heat tolerance. Plant in full sun in fertile well drained soil. Keep the soil moist, but not soggy. Diascia is probably best suited to be grown in mixed containers or window boxes. Space plants 8" - 10" apart.
