Scotch Pine
It is a hardy tree that grows rapidly for a pine tree. The evergreen foliage consists of short, twisted needles, which are bluish-green and often change to yellow-green in winter. When used in windbreaks, it should be placed in east or south inside rows and works best in partial shade to full sun. Older trees have orange-colored bark in the crown. White Walnut This tree has a short trunk which is divided into a few ascending limbs with large spreading, sparsely forked branches. White Walnut trees grows fast, especially as a seedling, but usually does not live longer than 75 years. Tree is best known for the rich quality of its wood. The root system is composed of a number of wide-spreading laterals that grow to a considerable depth. Nuts resemble Black Walnut, but smaller, with an oily, spicy flavor.
