Sweet Bell Peppers - California Wonder

Blossom pruning will improve fruit size. The Sweet Bell Pepper, California Wonder, 'Capsicum annuum', has blocky 4 inch peppers that are great for stuffing. Peppers use quite a bit of water but prefer to be watered deeply and not too often. Pinch off early flowers to encourage plant growth. California Wonder is probably the most popular open pollinated bell pepper in producton today. California Wonder produces high yields of extra-large fruits over a long period of time. The tall plants are tobacco mosaic virus resistant. Note: To get a jump on the season transplant outside, use a walls-of-water or some black plastic to maintain and increase temperatures.
