Sweet Pea - Ocean Foam

The Sweet Pea Ocean Foam, 'Lathyrus odoratus', is a special blend of heirloom old spice sweet peas that are highly scented and heat resistant. The plants stop blooming once the weather warms up. They are used for cut flowers, ground cover, fence and wall covering, and in large pots. The Ocean Foam is a blend of navy, med-blue, light blue and cream colored 1 to 2 inch flowers. In warm climates, plant in October through January for spring bloom. Use lots of peat or compost for early spring planting. Position them away from winds and rotate locations from year to year to prevent sweet pea pests. The sweet pea prefers deep, rich, fertile soil. The sweet peas bloom in the spring and the duration of blooming depends on the weather. In cold climates plant the seed in early spring, as soon as the soil can be worked. Plant this Sweet Pea in full sun, but in a cool a spot as possible. A key element in successful growing of the Sweet Pea Ocean Foam is very early planting. Tomato - Black Krim 'Lycopersicon Lycopersicum', is an early, rich flavored old heirloom from the Crimean peninsula of Russia. This variety will set well in the heat but will also set well in other adverse conditions. They need at least 6 hours of direct sunlight a day. Prune the intermediate tomatoes in order to keep a single stem.
