Thyme - Mother of Thyme

Pink to purple blossoms appear in the summer, with a plant height of 8” and a spread of 12-24”. ‘Mother of Thyme’ should be planted in full sun, tolerating some morning shade, in a well-drained area. It is a favorite to honeybees and has been used in decongestants, as an antiseptic, cough remedy and a digestive aid. It does well in dry soils, but prefers a moist location. ‘Mother of Thyme’ is perfect for rock gardens, near stones or bricks, or along pathways. Best Bet will make a great addition around pools, ponds and water gardens, and for mass plantings. It prefers average, well-drained soil in full sun, but will tolerate a little afternoon shade.
