Tigridia - Mixed Colors
The Mexican Shell Flowers, 'Tigridia', produce triangular shaped flowers with vivid colors of scarlet, yellow, pink, orange, red and white. They are hardy in USDA zones 8 - 10. These Mexican native bulbs have flashy summertime blooms to 6 inches across. The flower throats are spotted with red, purple or mahogany. The individual flowers last just one day, but since there are a number of buds, the blooming period lasts for several weeks. In colder areas, dig the bulbs in the fall and store until spring. They are great in containers, borders, or flower beds. ... more information
Geranium - Southcombe Double Geraniums are grown in almost any soil as long as it is not wet. There are only a few double-geraniums in cultivation and don't look like a Geranium at first glance. This plant would look wonderful in a pot on a sun-drenched porch and is also deer resistant. Southcombe Double blooms almost non-stop throughout the summer, into fall. They do best in sun, but will tolerate some degree of shade. For the most part, cranesbill are long-lived and do not require a lot of care. They are perfect in the perennial border and work well as a ground cover too. The Geranium Southcombe Double, 'Geranium oxonianum', displays fully double, pure pink blooms that sit atop bright green stems. |
