They need at least 6 hours of direct sunlight a day. No other variety does so well under as many different growing conditions. Soak to depth of 6 to 10 inches when watering. They may also be seeded outside after the last average frost date. The fruit is glove shaped and dark red with up to a 8 inch circumference. The Tomato Bush Celebrity, 'Lycopersicon lycopersicum (Hybrid)', is a 1984 All America Winner and it is still a winner. It is so adaptable that it comes close to the perfect tomato. In warm winter/hot summer areas, tomatoes can be planted in early fall for winter harvest. Celebrity is an excellent all purpose variety with great flavor, disease resistance, and it will grow from Canada to the south. Bush Tomatoes prefer well drained soil that is high in organic matter. Pea Edible Pod - Oregon Sugar Pod Oregon Sugar Pods are excellent for the freezer. Peas prefer well drained soil. Keep the plants moist but do not get them over watered and soggy. This is one of the three vegetables that tastes much better garden grown than from a store. Plant in the early spring, as soon as the soil can be worked. The Pea Snow Oregon Sugar Pod, 'Pisum sativum', is a flat podded type pea that has great disease resistance and has tasty, stringless pods for stir fry or salads. Oregon Sugar Pod produces a huge number of 4 inch tasty pods which are harvested and eaten when the pods are flat, before the seed forms. Successive plantings 1 week apart will prolong the harvest season.
