They need at least 6 hours of direct sunlight a day. Tomatoes need at least 1 inch of water a week. Tomatoes should be planted outside after the last average frost date. The Tomato Celebrity, 'Lycopersicon lycopersicum', produces large glossy tomatoes that have light green shoulders. This mid-early variety will produce under a broad range of conditions and in most regions and they have good blight tolerance and foliage cover. Tomatoes prefer well drained soil that is high in organic matter. Soak to depth of 6 to 10 inches when watering. Celebrity is a determinate variety.
