Veronica - Aztec Gold
The Veronica Aztec Gold, 'Veronica spicata', is an easy to grow perennial that adds beauty to any garden. With its brilliant golden foliage, it has a plant height of 3” and a spread of 1-2’. ‘Aztec Gold’ needs a full sun area with well-drained soil. This creeping ground cover produces wonderful short spikes of sky blue flowers that bloom from June till September. Veronica is great for the first time gardener plus it is deer resistant. Deadhead the flowers after the first bloom to prolong its bloom time. Try ‘Aztec Gold’ with Hemerocallis ‘Stella de Oro’ or Veronica ‘White Icicles’.
