It requires full sun to partial shade; moist, well-drained soil is best, but is tolerant of wet soils; also tolerant of alkaline soils. Redwing offers something of interest all year and its dense foliage makes a nice hedge. Redwing has a densely branched upright form, good growth rate and attractive, red-tinted new foliage.
